transfer .is domain to wordpress

Hi,
i want to use my own registered domain (i.e., example.is) to wordpress, however i found difficulties to the transfer one, therefore please advised on the following:
1. are WordPress hosted .is domain?
2. what procedure that i need to follow to transfer my domain to wordpress;

WordPress.com started incoming domain transfers (transferring domains from other registrars to WordPress.com) only recently. You can read about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
As mentioned on this list though, https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/, .is domain cannot be transferred to WordPress.com yet.
However, you can signup for a WordPress.com plan and use a domain that you have registered elsewhere (the current .is domain you have registered at a different place). Follow the steps on this guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/, it will guide you through how to map a domain you already own elsewhere with your new WordPress.com site.

As @strikebuys mentioned, it’s not currently possible to transfer a .is domain to WordPress.com. Incoming transfers are only supported for domains with one of the following extensions:
However, a .is domain can be connected to your site with domain mapping. If you have any questions about that option, just let me know.
