Transfer Issue: In "Locked/Unlocked Limbo" with Hostgator

  I am trying to transfer my domain (learnagi.com) to Hostgator.

  Wordpress.com says…
  Your domain is unlocked to prepare for transfer.
  We have sent the transfer authorization code to the domain registrant’s email address.

  Hostgator shows…
  “Is your domain unlocked?” with a red x.

  Does anyone have any advice? Thank you for your time.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that domain is unlocked.

  Hostgator depends on the public Whois data for your domain to check it’s status, and that can take several hours to update after you actually unlock a domain at your domain provider.

  I checked the Whois data for your domain, and that is also showing it as unlocked for me now, so if you try transferring the domain now it should no longer show as unlocked on HostGator’s end.
