Transfer my blog content to wordpress without losing content

I was hosting my blog thru iPage but have decided to just host thru wordpress. I saved retrieved my content files from iPage but I am unsure what I need to proceed. Can you please advise me on the steps to get my blog back up and running without starting over and losing my content? Thanks in advance for your help!
