Transfer my blog to my personal domain and host.

  Hi there,

  I have a website (http://www.mrdragonfyr.com/) and i also have a blog (http://mrdragonfyr.wordpress.com/).

  I would like to transfer my entire blog from wordpress.com to my personal site.

  Iv read up a lot on this but it’s all a bit confusing. Anyone be able to show me a simple, free, way to do this?

  We can show you how to export your blog here: go to your dashboard->tools->Export and export it. IF your website has an importer, then go to your dashboard there, and hit Import. That’s it. We recommend you set the blog here to Private so it doesn’t interfere with searches for your content.

  Right iv done it! :))) But… the theme is set as a default theme, take a look

  Once i figure this all out i will be making it my default root address.

  Oh, nevermind, i think i just found it under “themes” lol!! I will try it with my main root now. What did you mean by setting my blog to private? On my website or on wordpress? Not sure i understand that.

  Your WOrdpress.COM blog. If you have the same content on two different sites, eg your website and your WP.com blog, Google thinks you’re a spammer and downgrades both sites. So we suggest setting the WP.com blog to private so the content is only visible in one place: on your blog.
