Transfer my blog to new URL/Self Hosted

  Hi, I would like to know how I PROPERLY transfer my old blog hosted by wordpress to a NEW URL that will be self hosted. I would also like to know how I can keep my current stats on my new blogs url. Thank you!

  Correction: I want to know how I can keep transfer my blog to my new URL that is self hosted and also keep the stats of my blog that was hosted by wordpress on my new url.

  As for the stats transfer Staff can do this for you after you make the move and install and activate Jetpack. http://jetpack.me Do those first and then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff.
