  I have a domain name at Go Daddy and I want to transfer it to my wordpress web page.

  Hi there! We don’t accept incoming transfers of domain names, but we can definitely connect the domain to your WordPress.com site.

  I see that you already have a Domain Mapping upgrade for the domain shelbylynnfitness.com. The last thing you need to do to set this up is change your name servers to these:

  • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Here’s GoDaddy’s guide for doing this:

  Okay. I am new to this so I am just a little confused. Does this mean I can make my domain name that I purchased with go daddy the actual domain name for my word press blog?

  yes – the site linked to my name is a custom domain and not registered with WordPress.COM

  As auxclass said, yes. You just have to follow the steps I gave you above to make it work properly.

  I followed your instructions and I am pretty sure it went through but I do not see it on my page. Does this take time? It says on my go daddy account that I am forwarding domain http//:shelbylynnfit.wordpress.com(fwd only)

  It looks like you have two similar WordPress.com sites:

  shelbylynnfit.wordpress.com
  shelbylynnfitness.wordpress.com

  I currently see the domain connected to shelbylynnfitness.wordpress.com on our end. But you have GoDaddy forwarding the domain to shelbylynnfit.wordpress.com. Can you please contact GoDaddy’s support team and ask them to remove the domain forwarding and just set up the name servers?
