  It costs as much to transfer your domain name as it would to renew it for another year. Check out Standard Domain Registration and Renewal Pricing to see how much it will cost for your particular top-level domain (TLD) – e.g. .com will cost $18. Note that when you transfer a domain to WordPress.com, you will automatically renew it for another year.
