Transfer my domain (url) to wordpress.com business

    how do I do this. I am working for a school. We currently have a website very outdated. Looking at moving to wordpress business. ODo I create a website in wordpress.com and then somehow transfer it over.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,
    What you are asking is definitely possible. You would have to evaluate a few things before you do the actual move though. Are you looking at creating accounts for your school staff/students access to your site? Based on that you might need to set up your site on WordPress.com. Do let us know a little more about what kinds of features you would like to have on your site, based on that we would be able to help you better.

    That said, you will ideally create a site on WordPress.com (eg:- schoolname.wordpress.com). Do all the tweaking with content, appearance, etc. Once everything is set, then do a domain mapping of your domain (schoolname.com) to your WordPress.com (schoolname.wordpress.com).
