Hi Diane,
I can certainly do that for you! Can you confirm both your WordPress.com URL and your WordPress.org URL for me? Please know that we can only transfer your email subscribers.
Cheers!

Great!
My old WordPress.com site URL is http://ragdollsrising.com
My new WordPress.org site URL is http://69.89.31.108/~ragdoll1/
although I’ve had my domain name forwarded, so now when you type in ragdollsrising.com my new site opens.-Diane

Thanks for the information. Before we go ahead and transfer your email subscribers, just a heads-up that we strongly recommend getting ragdollsrising.com set up as your true WordPress domain, instead of just forwarding it to http://69.89.31.108/~ragdoll1/.
Jetpack uses a unique site profile tied to a single URL in our database. If you later were to switch over to ragdollsrising.com from http://69.89.31.108/~ragdoll1/ – a second Jetpack profile would be created in the system, and you’ll lose your statistics and subscribers.
You’ll avoid many issues down the road if you set things up correctly now. Just let us know – thanks!

thanks,
I worked with a tech at my host, Blue Host and we set it up so it’s correct.
So my old subscriptions will just automatically go to my new site?
thanks, Diane -
Kathy,
Things don’t appear to be working right yet. I made a new post on my site at (WordPress.org), RagDollsRising.com and I find that my subscribers from my old WordPress.com site are not transferring over. Can you help me with this? -Diane
p.s. don’t know why but under my profile picture there are two listings that say RagDollsRising. -
Hi there – I have not yet transferred your subscribers because we first needed to ensure that your domain was set up correctly, as I suggested earlier.
I see that you’ve gotten rid of this domain – http://69.89.31.108/~ragdoll1/ – which is great. However, your site is currently set to http://RagDollsRising.com – using upper and lowercase letters.
I highly recommend you switch that to all-lowercase before we proceed so we still don’t have any mismatches between different domain variations.
So change this: http://RagDollsRising.com
to this http://ragdollsrising.com in your site settings.
Once that’s done, just post back here and I’ll let you know once your subscribers have been transferred.

Kathy, I went to my dashboard – settings on wordpress.org and changed to lowercase. I hope things work now.
I still don’t know why when I go to WordPress.com there is Rag Dolls Rising listed twice under my avatar on the upper right.
Does it matter that I registered this domain with wordpress.com? Do I need to transfer the register to make all this work?
thank you, Diane

Thanks – that did the trick.
I’ve gone ahead and transferred over your email subscribers to the new site.
I still don’t know why when I go to WordPress.com there is Rag Dolls Rising listed twice under my avatar on the upper right.
That’s because both your old WordPress.com site and your new self-hosted site are connected to your WordPress.com account, and they have the same name. I don’t think it’s anything you need to worry about.
Does it matter that I registered this domain with wordpress.com? Do I need to transfer the register to make all this work?
Nope, you don’t need to transfer the domain registration at all.
You should be all set now. Just let me know if you need anything else.
