transfer my website to WordPress – where can i write in the "auth code"???
-
I want to transfer my website from protendics to wordpress. I´ve already add this Domain (www.cassie-makeuparstist) in the WordPress store. But i don´t know, where to write in the Auth code, which i´ve got from my old server.
Now wordpress is just detouring to my old original site, but i just want to build my own new website.
I can´t find a phone number to call one of the support team. It´s so complicated and not clearly :-(Greats from Germany

Hi Cassie,
We don’t accept transfers of domains into WordPress.com at this time, so you’ll need to have your domain at a different registrar. If where your domain is currently accepts the change of nameservers, you can follow these instructions to setup your domain to point to your WordPress.com site: Map an Existing Domain.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Cheers from Texas!

Thanks Brandon,
ok, my hosting don´t accepts the change of nameservers. I have to quit.
One more question:
I didn´t realize, that .com and .org is a different thing. Can I switch now to the .org system? But I´ve already payed to wordpress for sth for a Domain, for example.
Because I want to use plugins like NextGen Gallery or other stuff.
http://www.cadika-beautyblog.de is also a .org, right? Looks different to my Dashboard… -
Hi Cassie,
Yes, http://cadika-beautyblog.de/ is a .org-based blog. The basic differences are outlined at WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
Basically, WordPress.org is the software that can be used on almost any server. You don’t pay for the software, but you do pay for the hosting account.
WordPress.com uses the WordPress.org software (with our additions) to make it easier for a lot of folks to get started and takes away any technical management responsibility away.
You can switch over without a problem and we can refund your payment. You can cancel your upgrade yourself via the Store->My Upgrades link in your site’s dashboard via http://stylistcassie.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ or let me know if you’d like me to do so.
If you reach out to the hosting company you’re using for http://cadika-beautyblog.de/, they should be able to help get you setup for a second site using http://cassie-makeupartist.de/ .
Cheers!
