Transfer naked domain?

  Is there any way to transfer a blah.com to automatically point to http://www.blah.com? I’ve transferred my WordPress domain to Blogger, but the naked domain is still going to WordPress. How can I change this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you registered your domain with WordPress.com here how to Change name servers to point the domain outside of WordPress.com

  I’ve read those instructions many times but I’m still not sure what to do. What would I change the nameservers to? Blogger does not provide any of this information.

  Hi there!

  It looks like you have a CNAME record for http://www.laurenshoff.com

  https://laurenshoffdotcom3.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  But you haven’t changed your A record. Google has some directions for setting up your DNS records to point to Blogger here:

  https://support.google.com/blogger/troubleshooter/1233381?hl=en#ts=1734115

  Let me know if you have trouble with those directions.

  I’ve been looking at those instructions for a year and still haven’t figured it out. :) They’re very vague to me. It says you can enter A-records but doesn’t tell you how. I also don’t see a place to edit DNS on Blogger. I’ve listed the domain name that I want to use and there aren’t really options outside of that.

  I’ve checked “Redirect laurenshoff.com to http://www.laurenshoff.com” but it doesn’t do that.

  Also, when I try to edit my WordPress A-record so that laurenshoff.com points to http://www.laurenshoff.com, it doesn’t allow me to do that.

  Alright. I believe I have you set up correctly now. DNS settings can take a little while to update, but let me know if the root domain laurenshoff.com doesn’t redirect to http://www.laurenshoff.com by tomorrow. :)
