Transfer of Custom Design upgrade to new blog had no effect
-
I used the “transfer to another site” function on the My Upgrades page to transfer my Custom Design and No Ads upgrades to a newly created blog. The information on the My Upgrades page indicates the transfer took place. I performed the transfer 12 hours ago, but the Custom Design feature is still not available on my new blog, and remains in place on the original blog.
I tried using the Customize tools to return the original blog to its default colors and fonts, thinking that perhaps you had to manually undo your custom changes before the Custom Design function could be transferred, but this has had no effect either. Please advise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
It appears as if several attempts in the past 24 hours at making a credit card transaction “locked out” your transfer. I’m happy to make sure this is working for you, however!
Could you confirm on which site your Custom Design and No Ads upgrades should be? Let me know and I’ll take care of it asap.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

My Custom Design and No Ads upgrades should apply to the blog “The Creative Image”.
With respect to the attempted credit card transactions, while on the My Upgrades page to effect the transfer of upgrades to my new blog, I attempted to use the Update Credit Card links to enter my new credit card expiry date info for each of the three blogs listed. I did this from an iPad. The interface presented to enter the info doesn’t perform worth a damn on a touch-screen device, repeatedly crashing when the user tries to select a new field in which to type. It was an unbelievably frustrating experience. If you are able to access that data, will you please confirm that my changes actually went through. If my credit card info no longer indicates an expiry date in 2015, the changes have taken effect correctly.

Hey again!
Thanks for the followup.
First, I cleared all those credit card transaction errors. Sorry you had that trouble. Many apologies for the inconvenience!
My Custom Design and No Ads upgrades should apply to the blog “The Creative Image”.
Your Custom Design and No Ads upgrades have moved to your site: thecreativeimage.wordpress.com.
Custom Design has an expiration of May 17, 2015
No Ads has an expiration of May 15, 2015These upgrades can be seen here:
https://thecreativeimage.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgradesRegarding your credit card transaction, your domain registration/mapping/privacy has been renewed. It’s expiration date is February 10, 2016.
Your credit card does not have a 2015 expiration date, so it appears as if the update of your account was successful.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Robyn,
“My Upgrades” indicates that the Custom Design and No Ads upgrades are active on the blog The Creative Image. Indeed, that was the case right from square one. However, I am still unable to access the Custom Design functionality on this blog. If, from the dashboard for The Creative Image, I select Appearance –> Customize to open the design tool, the menu items for Colors, Fonts, and CSS still bear the little circle icon beside them, and tell me “This feature is part of the Premium Plan. Purchase it to make it live or exit the preview.”
Meanwhile, over on “The Foothills Review”, the Custom Design feature is still accessible through the design tools, despite the fact that other parts of the system insist this functionality has been transferred elsewhere. So I am afraid this has not been resolved.
I have no real way of telling, but I suspect that if the Custom Design upgrade didn’t transfer properly, the No Ads upgrade didn’t either. At this point I am tempted to transfer both upgrades back from whence they came, wait a while, and transfer them forward again to “The Creative Image” to see if that will solve the problem. However, I don’t want to cause any further havoc. Please advise.

Hello there!
Aha! How strange. Thanks for describing the situation in more detail.
I’ve removed/re-added those upgrades to thecreativeimage.wordpress.com.
Now, when I view the Customizer on thecreativeimage.wordpress.com, I am able to see a working Custom Design upgrade. Could you take another look and let me know if all is well?
Thanks so much for your explanation! Best to you.

Robyn,
That has resolved the issue. The custom features are now active in the design tool for “The Creative Image” and the font and color changes are showing up online. I trust that if the Custom Design upgrade is now working properly, that the No Ads upgrade is as well. Thank you.
