Transfer of domain from another provider
-
I own a domain, it expires on the 4 of October 2013, I want to have the same domain name with WordPress, I have to map the address or there is another more direct way? Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to keep the registration not at WordPress.COM, they are not set up to accept incoming domain name transfers
You also need to map the domain here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Thank you for that. Since my contract with the other company is about to expire in a few days, can I simply drop it and pick it through WordPress? I don’t want a remapping, I want a fresh registration. Thanks a lot.

Not likely. People who try this almost always lose control of the domain. I suggest you find a different registrar to transfer it to and not lose control of it at all.

Keep in mind that what you are proposing besides the little detail of your domain being bought by someone else – the domain name will stop working for up to 60 days, during that time you will get NO traffic to your domain name and search engines will mark you down as dead

One more question, it means I need to keep open my account with the other host , and pay for it, for as long as they have it registered? Together with my mapping to WordPress? Thank you again.

No, hosting and domain management are generally two separate things, with two separate charges: one monthly for hosting and one annually or biannually for the domain.

Now I understand, I have to pay to WordPress to map and use my domain name, and to Heart Internet for the hosting of the name. Thanks so much to all.
