transfer of domain name to wordpress

    I already own a domain name from another service provider and I have a 10 year registration. I want to know if I transfer my domain to wordpress would I be charged extra for it every year or I have to renew my domain registration after 10th year with wordpress.

    Hi there, you’ll find some answers in this support guide, but I’ve also flagged this thread for Staff attention concerning the length of domain registration. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you as the weekends tend to be a bit slower for responses.

    Also, please note that not all domains can be transferred to WordPressdotcom. If the TLD doesn’t appear on this list, you’ll need to continue your registration with your current registrar and map your domain to a WordPressdotcom site instead.

    Howdy –

    The domain renewal is going to be incorporated with your plan purchase – each year that plan will renew, and so will the domain registration. There’s not an additional charge on top of the plan price. Does that help?
