Transfer of domain registrars to HostGator

  I need to host my website in WordPress.org with HostGator. Need your help to transfer my domain registrars to them. I’ve been told by one of your colleague that it can’t be done before 60 days? I have an urgent requirement and can’t afford to wait for that long as its business related. So want you to help please! There must a way around this issue? As I wasn’t aware of this clause when I registered with WordPress!

  Hi there,

  Domain registrations cannot be transferred within 60 days of initial registration. You can read a bit more about this here:

  While you will not be able to transfer your domain, you can still use it with your Hostgator hosting by changing the name servers as described here:

  Hi,

  I have tried this ‘changing the name servers’ but HostGator have come back saying my site is still showing with you guys! Please refer to email below which I received from you guys on 18th of Oct 2014 as a confirmation of my request!

  So, the alternative you have suggested haven’t worked. Please advise?

  Hi Shubh,

  It looks like the name servers are still pointed to WordPress.com. Could you confirm the Hostgator name servers? I’m happy to make the change for you!
