Transfer of Website to WordPress Process

I have a customer that has his website through another hosting company and when I went into his control page to add some content for him, I could clearly see that the page was built through a WordPress interface. It would save him a ton of money if there was a way to move the content of his site directly to WordPress and then link the domain name to the new host.
Is there some process for doing this and if so does anyone have a simple guide to follow?

It sounds like you want to keep the site intact but move the site from one third-party hosting company to another. If that’s the case, that’s really a WordPress.org question, unless of course you are wanting to move the site to WordPress.com. :)
