transfer one wordpress site to new domain

  I am trying to transfer an existing wordpress blog to a new wordpress site that I have set-up. I have tried to export the content of the old one and import it into the new one, the export works, but the import doesn’t seem to do anything.
  The sites I am trying to manage are greetingsfrombrazil, trying to transfer it’s settings and content to brazilnorthmelbourne. I have tried also to register brazilnorthmelbourne.com, so that I could just change the greetingsfrombrazil site to the new domain, but it won’t allow me as it says its assigned to an existing wordpress site.
  I was going to delete the brazilnorthmelbourne site so I can start again, but it tells me that if i do that i won’t be able to access the brazilnorthmeblourne domain again.
  I have a premium package on the greetingsfrombrazil site, so I would prefer just to change the domain to brazilnorthmelbourne if possible

  Hi Jamie,

  I can help with this, but it seems like you want to move your domain brazilnorthmelbourne.com to be associated with greetingsfrombrazil.wordpress.com; however it is currently associated with that site.

  Is that what you want to have happen? If not, let me know what you would like and I’ll let you know if that’s possible.

  Thanks, it seems that the change in domain has gone thru, I am not sure how that happened as it wasn’t working initially. But the problem is solved now. Thanks for you response.
