Transfer or just connect my domain

  I am unclear as to which would be my best option of either transferring my domain or just connecting it to your server to be able to add plugins to help streamline my store to help increase sales on multiple platforms.

  It’s more what you prefer.

  Connecting allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  A transfer would allow managing both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Therefore it depends on whether or not you want to manage your domain separately from your hosting or if you want to manage both in the same place. In the end, the result is the same.
