Transfer or Map?

  I currently have a Namecheap domain until 2021, do I still have to pay for wordpress to access it if I transfer? I’m trying to decide whether I want to transfer or map the domain.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Both options would require a WordPress.com plan so if you decide to transfer the domain you will be paying WordPress for your plan and to manage your domain

  But, if you map your domain you would still pay your current host to manage your domain, and also pay WordPress for the plan.
