Transfer or map domain

    Hi! We currently have a WIX site that I would like to import to WordPress. Our new reservation system will not work well with WIX. I am not sure if I should choose the transfer or map domain option. I would want the WIX site to be up until completely ready to launch the new edited site on wordpress.

    Hi there!

    It depends entirely on you. You can work on your site using the free subdomain until you’re ready to move the domain.

    If you map the domain here, you’ll keep paying for the registration at Wix and will manage the domain there.
    If you transfer it we’ll be your new registrar and you’ll access the domain settings directly from your WordPress.com dashboard :)
