Hello,
Are you sure you want to transfer the registration of the domain to GoDaddy, and not just change the nameservers?
You can only transfer the registration if your domain is at least 60 days old or it was not subject to any other transfer during the last 60 days.
To initiate the transfer at WordPress.com end, read the article here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/For the GoDaddy end, information is available at:

Thanks yes, certain about the transfer. The domain name was registered by an individual acting for a company and not realising that GoDaddy was the preferred registrar with many domain names already registered. Its just a case of having all the domains with one registrar for ease of management.

I tried following this link https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/ and when I click on the Domains link the domain name I want to transfer out napcap.org is not listed.
-
napcap.org is set as the primary domain for napcapdotorg.wordpress.com
Exactly which username account registered napcapdotorg.wordpress.com and purchased the upgrade(s) for it?
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you are not successful, then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

Briefly, I didn’t see this link mentioned above (I’m certainly not sure if it would be of use…) https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/point-a-wordpress-com-domain-to-godaddy/
It may be useful, but I’ll mark it for staff for you (tag ‘modlook’) to help ensure you get it sorted out :) -
The trouble is that when I go to My Domains in WordPress I don’t see listed the domain that I want to transfer out.
-
Also, in the meantime (staff will come along, it sometimes takes a while) I’ve also added a ‘godaddy’ tag (to the right) you can click on that tag and it will take you to all other threads with the tag..
Hope that helps. -
Can anyone help me get started by at least being able view in my dashboard the domain I want to transfer out?
-
It may not be your primary blog..? If not you have to choose from the dropdown here.. https://wordpress.com/my-domains/ (I have about 11 in the dropdown..)
At the link I gave a few comments ago is a step by step for you.
Also, please be patient, as once it is marked for staff (and it is) you are in line to be answered by them.
-
That’s just what I mean, the domain isn’t even displayed or listed there so I can’t administer or manage it at all.
