A friend of mine has been running a website for our organization using WordPress. I now need to take over this website and have used WordPress for a blog of my own. How do we transfer ownership from one owner to a different owner? Thanks!!

Assuming you are referring to a free hosted WordPress.COM blog what’s follow is how to proceed.
Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account. Your friends’ username account has to add your username account as Admin to the blog you want to be transferred to you and use the process to transfer the blog to it.

I need to transfer a blog to another user.
I’ve followed the steps at http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-accountand nothing happened. Neither me or the other user received an e-mail with confirmation.
Could you please provide additional information about this topic?
