  Can I transfer posts from this blog over to a self hosted WordPress blog?

  Hi there, yes it’s possible. You can export your content following this guide and then import it to your WordPress install. https://wordpress.com/support/export/ There’s a more detailed guide to moving from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress site at https://move.wordpress.com/

  If your intention is to move to a self-hosted site, you’ll want to make your WordPress.com site private so search engines do not see duplicate content. https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/
