    what is the simplest and most cost efficient way: to map your domain or transfer to wordpress. i currently am with name.com. its a new website that i launched

    You’d connect your domain to WordPress.com if you had a site created here. You mentioned you’ve just launched a website so I’m not sure if you already have hosting (in that case, you don’t need WordPress.com) or if you meant a new site created here.

    If you map your domain, you’ll still need to manage it directly at your registrar’s side and pay them for the domain renewals. On WordPress.com, mapping is free with any of our paid plans.

    If you decide to transfer the domain, we’ll be your new registrar and you’ll have everything in one place. The transfer is free with any paid plan, you’ll only start paying for your domain from the second year. The price will depend on the domain extension (TLD):
