transfer several articles from Blog #1 to Blog #2 and retain Tabs and Categories

  I have decided to dedicate my second blog to new topic. Many articles of that new topic are now sitting in my Blog #1. I have seen questions about how to transfer the contents of an entire blog but have not seen anything on transferring only certain articles.

  I am thinking that all of the Tags and the Categories might be lost in the transfer. (What a headache if I have to re-do all of those.)

  Is it possible, then, to transfer some articles from the blog at lornakismet.wordpress.com to the blog at
  lornareiko.wordpress.com? Of course I would delete the articles that now reside in the second blog.

  As far as I know, there is no way to transfer selected and individual blog posts but you can transfer the whole blog and it works fine.

  If you do not have huge traffic or lots of posts on your blog then why not just transfer the whole blog and then delete the posts you do not want. Just a suggestion.

  My first blog has traffic and my second blog was ill-conceived. I do not want to lose or change my first blog. I want to transfer some posts from the first blog into my second blog. Then I would delete all of the existing blogs in that second blog. (Don’t want to delete them unless I know I can do the transfer…..)

  Vivian, thank you……. I read it but the issue of retaining the tags and the categories is not addressed. I am getting the feeling that I would have to re-do the tags and categories.

  When I copy the article from Blog 1, am I correct in assuming that it is ok to copy it from the ”Visual“ tab or would it be wiser to copy from the html tab?

  There’s an old saying: nothing beats a try but a failure. You have nothing to lose by trying the workaround, right?
