Transfer site btwn user accounts

  I created a site and logged in with the wrong email address while I was creating it. Now it looks like if I delete site, the domain name I wanted will be unavailable forever, so I can’t just go and recreate it under the email address I want to use. So can I transfer this site to my other email account somehow?

  I’m not sure how to interpret the question. How to resolve the issue depends upon whether the desired email address is already used on another WordPress.com account. So I’ll respond for each alternative, one at a time.

  1.email address is free (not tied to another WordPress.com account):
  Then just change the account email address of the site with the wrong email address to the right address. See the Update Email Address support page for relevant information and instructions.

  2.email address is already used on another WordPress.com account:
  Let the account with the wrong email address be account #2, and let the account with the desired email address be account #1. Either of of the following two courses of action might be considered:
  a. Transfer the site with the wrong email address (in account #2) to the account with the desired email address (account #1) as described in the Transferring a Site to Another WordPress.com Account support page.

  b. Change the account email address of account #1 (desired email address) to a third email address. This action will immediately free up the email address to be used on account #2. Then change the email address of account #2 to the desired email address, formerly assigned to account #1.
