Transfer stats to self-hosted

Hi! I need help transferring stats from my .com to my .org account.

Stats migration will only work perfectly if your post ID’s match between your WordPress.com site and your new self hosted site. If the IDs do not match, a single post will end up as two different posts in your stats. One will be the stats for the old ID and one the new. The stats cannot be combined unless the IDs are the same.
However, even if they aren’t the same, the overall site-wide traffic numbers will be the same. So it is only worth going and fixing if you absolutely need each post to have a completely accurate stats page.
Please confirm that you understand this.

Josh, thanks for answering.
I do not understand! Both my jaymorse.wordpress.com and my new site hosted at wp.org are found at jaymorse.org.
I’ve posted only once since the transfer, and everything looks fine. I would like to transfer all the old stats, so that the new site is essentially a transparent transition with the old site.
I don’t need each post to have a completely accurate stats page, but I do want to make sure the number of hits on the old site applies to the new site. I am hoping – probably wrongly – that transferring the stats will assist in keeping me comparatively high in a google search.
Does that make sense? Not even sure I’m asking the right questions.

Josh, one follow up – wp transferred the entire blog from one host to the other for me, so I’m assuming all posts have the same ID.

I’m afraid that moving stats is unrelated to Google ranking.
I have merged your stats.
