transfer subscribers
-
How do I transfer subscribers fro wordpress.com to wordpress.org? My url for both is tiffanytalksbooks.com
-
I have transferred your subscribers as requested.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
-
Hi, thanks for the quick assistance. Why is it still saying only 3 subscribers on my .org blog?
-
-
Ok, great! Also, I have tried to enable sharing icons for each post and now I can not enable the sharing buttons. Please advise how I can enable the sharing buttons for facebook, twitter, email, google +, tumblr, and pinterest on the new .org blog.
-
Have you enabled the Sharing module in the Jetpack section of your blog’s Dashboard?
If so, have you enabled the desired sharing buttons at Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard?
-
Yes, I have activated it in my jetpack section. When I try to drag the icons from available services to enabled services they do not move.
-
Hm, that seems very odd.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
-
I have chrome 25 which is the most current version and I have cleared the cache and cookies and it is still not working.
-
Ok, there could be a conflict with something else on your new blog then.
Please try temporarily deactivating all other plugins. If it works after that, please try reactivating each on individually until you find the cause.
If that didn’t make a difference, try temporarily switching to the Twenty Twelve theme, as theme functions can sometimes interfere like plugins.
-
Ok, I will try that and here is one last question:
On my .com blog it showed the amount of facebook and twitter followers I have under my blog subscribers and now on the .org blog they do not show and I am pretty confident that I have set up the publicize feature. Can you look into that for me?
-
I can’t look into that bit as it’s on your .org blog’s end, but do make sure that you have Publicize setup via Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard.
-
Ok, I guess I will try to figure it out myself because I did the same thing as when I set it up for the .com blog but it isn’t working. Thanks for all of your help!
