Transfer subscribers/followers to jetpacked self hosted site
-
Hi WordPress Staff,
I would like my followers/subscribers moved from my wordpress.com blog to thirdiradio.com jetpacked self-hosted blog. I also would like to make sure my posts are in the “freshly pressed” section from my new site for all wordpress.com users to see (Is that what enhanced distribution is for on Jetpack?)
Thank you kindly,
EricThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The WordPress.com Freshly Pressed blog post sle3ctions are made by Staff. The only post qualified for selection must be on free hosted WordPress.COM blog. As posts on WordPress.ORG installs are not a part of the WordPress.COM blogging community the posts do not automatically appear in the WordPress.COM Reader or on the WordPress.COM Topics (Tags and Categories) pages. Hopefully, you are clear on that and the fact that WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate. WordPress.ORG sites are stand alone islands. There is no WordPress.ORG community as there is here at WordPress.COM.

The WordPress.com Freshly Pressed blog post selections are made by Staff. http://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/ That section does not exist on any WordPress.ORG install.
Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/#wordpress-com-to-self-hosted-site Do that now please as I have tagged this thread for their attention.

http://thirdiradio.com (self hosted)
thirdiradio.wordpress.com (wordpress.com)@timethief as long as my posts from my ORG install are seen by my followers on the wordpress.com dashboard thats all im looking for.
Thanks

Also is it possible to transfer wordpress “likes” from my COM to ORG posts that have the same slug or ID?

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.
The Tags and Categories you assign to posts on any WordPress.ORG install are NOT going to be automatically displayed in the WordPress.COM Reader or on the WordPress.COM Topics (Tags and Categories) pages. Are you clear on that?
Likes cannot be transferred at this time.

Also note that if you do not make the WordPress.com blog private and both sites contain the same content then you will experience a duplicate content across domains issue with Google.

Yes I understand thanks for the information. Please make sure this request will go through for this transfer. Thanks!

You’re welcome. The “modlook” tag is in the sidebar of this thread and Staff will deal with this when they can.
