transfer the hosting out from wordpress to an IP
-
Hi, I am trying to transfer the hosting out from wordpress to an IP address but keep the domain name registered under wordpress. I logon https://dcc.securepaynet.net to update the nameservers and set it to “standard”. However, I submitted a few requests and more than 10 hours passed. The change is still not reflected.
Anything goes wrong?

So there are two different ways you can go to get your WordPress.com registered domain connected with your new self-hosted site.
If you are looking to transfer your domain to another registrar, use these instructions here:
If you are looking to update your domain’s nameservers to point to your new webhost, use these instructions here:

Hi, thanks for your reply, I have set up a server in AWS and get an IP which I host the server. I need to route all traffics to the current domain to this IP address.
Supposingly, I can change the nameserver setting from “custom” to “standard”. I have changed many times and the system said I have submitted the requests successfully. However, I waited for weeks and it won’t allow me to change.
Alternative, how can I map the domain to an IP?
thanks!

Hi, Rootjosh,
I have another problem. I used to have email routed from this domain to outlook.com. Now, this routing is not working. It seems that it is due to the DNS is disabled. How can I keep the email DNS working while domain is directly pointed to this IP?
Many thanks!!

Hi, Rootjosh,
I just found you have modified the setting for me. Thanks… I have updated the MX record myself and it works for this moment…
thanks again!!
