Transfer theme purchase to another blog

I no longer use this blog, but did purchase a theme for it and would like to use it on another blog i’m creating.i read from a support page that on the upgrades page there should be a link to transfer the theme to another blog, but I don’t have that option for some reason.
how can i go about doing this?

Ah, I am sorry, there has been some confusion.
I cannot transfer a theme to a non-WordPress.com site. I am guessing that you are setting paperandbirch.com up to be a self-hosted WordPress site?

Yes, but so was the tastyspoon site. Is there any way around this, as I shouldn’t have to pay for the theme again.

Actually, I’m not sure i understand what “self-hosted” means. I have a domain through yahoo, but i do all my edits and changes through wordpress. is that considered self-hosted?

Ok, i’ve figured it out. I’m not self-hosted. I just have a domain through yahoo. the blog is hosted by wordpress.
wow, it seems i have some reading ahead of me. I don’t even have the basics covered on this.

I’m following up here from the other two support requests requesting the theme transfer. :)
First of all thanks for having contacted us from both the accounts so we were able to authenticate you as the owner of both. I checked your accounts and proceeded with the transfer.
For your knowledge: the reason why the transfer option wasn’t available is that the two accounts must be both administrators of the blogs in order to transfer between them. Since they were separate, the option wasn’t available.
Please now just double check that the transfer has been correctly applied and you can use the theme on your new blog.
