Transfer to another name within WordPress

I have obtained the name aprosemusings for my blog but am not happy with it. I would like my address now to be “newname”.wordpress.com. Is there any way I can do that myself? Or could I create a new account and have WordPress transfer it for me? Thank you.
I’d rather not start from scratch again. :(

6. The final option presented on this screen allows you to discard your current address. This option will permanently disable the address and you will not be able to reuse it. Only select this option if you are sure you will not use the address again. If I understand what you’re saying correctly, you should be able to do that quite simply:
Dashboard > My Blog > Change blog address.
