Transfer to WordPress
-
I have a domain that is expiring soon. With my current hosting I only use WordPress so I’d like to register the site through wordpress.com when it expires. Is there a way to do this and to have my whole site transfer over or would I have to start from scratch again?

You can register a WP.com blog and then just Import that blog to it. Be sure to make an Export file of your current blog contents and check that it works.

If you want to keep the domain – thenewyorkknickspodcast.com – you can point the name servers to WordPress.COM and then map the domain to your new blog here ( $ 12/ year).
Your existing domain name will need to stay with another registrar as WordPress.COM can’t accept incoming domain name transfers.
