transfer to wordpress.org

    Hi , i just started i new blog on wordpress.com and i bought a themeforest plan which i tought i could use on my blog furthermore, i can’t. I also take my own domain name which is baumarketing.co . Now i would like to transfer my blog to .org. I would appreciate if you could help me with that. Can i keep my name domain? if possible can you do the change for me ?

    Hi Karl,

    Sure thing. You can keep your domain name. We can point it to your new host, then transfer it a different registrar.

    To get started, if you haven’t already, you need to start a hosting account with a webhost. Almost all of them work with WordPress, though we have a few listed at http://get.wp.com/hosting/ .

    Once you have a hosting account setup, ask them what the nameservers should be for your existing domain name. With that value, you or I can change the nameservers to point to your new site. Instructions on how to do that are at Change Name Servers, but like I said, I’m happy to help with that.

    i choose Bluehost now i would like to transfer it to wordpress.org i would really really appreciate if you could do that for me , i’m not so used to that. You can always email me it will be easier to send you my private infos etc..

    Hi again,
    ok i talk with a rep from bluehost and they are telling my that i need to point my domain to bluehost . But i need to talk the registrar ( which i think is wordpress because i took my name domain on wordpress).

    That’s correct. To confirm, did they tell you ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com as the nameservers to point to? Those are the standard ones for BlueHost, but in case something has changed on their end.

    I can do this for you or you can yourself, if you prefer, with these instructions: Change Name Servers.

    well if you çan do that for me it would be great. do you make me pay for it ?

    Otherwise, i already went on the links that you sent me, and i know that i need to point my name servers to theirs and that i need to go to my registra to do so.
    But because i took my domain name on wordpress ,dosent it make wordpress my registra ? ( the place i need to change this and to point servers to ?)
