Transfer Username!

  I am having two accounts and i want the old_email’s username with the new_email which is mapped with another username so shall I change my old email’s username so that it will set free and then I can change that name to my new email?

  Lets say, my old_email has username “xxx”, and my new_email “yyy”. I want the xxx username for my new_email so shall i change the old_email’s username as “zzz” so that the “xxx” will be free or it may not be taken forever?
