Transfer username from one profile to another

For one reason or another I ended up with two profiles on WordPress.com. [redacted] and [redacted]. I don’t need two profiles, I only need this one [redacted]. However, I would like the username to be that of the other one [redacted]… I effectively want to get rid of the other profile and transfer the username to this one. To that end, I have already deleted [redacted].
When I try to change the username of this profile to [redacted], I get a message saying the username already exists. I appreciate that there may be some ‘cooling off’ period so that deleted profiles can be re-instated. How long will it take for this period to lapse so that the username is freed? Or is there something you can do at your end that can expedite this? I’m happy to provide any verification needed and agree to any disclaimers.

As very clearly stated, when you delete a user name it’s no longer possible to use it ever again, https://wordpress.com/support/close-account/#usernames-cannot-be-re-used-after-closure.
Let’s see if Staff is aible to restore your deleted account. -
[redacted] has not been deleted.
