transfer users from .com to .org without the "guided help from happy engineer"
-
I just recently purchased and set up http://www.bhookedcrochet.com on the wordpress.org platform. I have successfully transferred posts, pages, etc but I would also like to transfer my users. I found a closed thread where it was accomplished without paying for the extra service. An individual named “hew” completed this for them. Any ideas how I can get this done? The transfer would be from http://www.bhookedcrochet.wordpress.com to http://www.bhookedcrochet.com.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have not done this myself, but various people on the forums have indicated that it is not difficult. The main principle is to export your content from WordPress.com then import it onto the WordPress.org blog. You have to do this when the .com blog is still up, as it copies the images directly from the blog.

If you want your subscribers transferred you must first install Jetpack in your new site and then flag this thread for staff attention.

Tsndava, I have succedsfully made the transfer as you mentioned but it doesn’t include blog followers.
Raincoaster, thank you! I do have Jetpack enabled and running on my .org hosted site. How do you flag this thread for staff attention?

I’ll flag it for you. Be patient it may take a while for them to get round to this thread
