Transfer vs. Mapping

  I already have a domain but want to re-do my website and use wordpress. Should I transfer it or map it? It’s a .com site, so can I transfer it? I read through some of the help documents, but am not totally clear. Any advice would be much appreciated as I am new to all of this. Thanks!

  I understand, domains are a bit technical and hard to understand when you’re just starting out.
