Hi, I just signed up with wordpress.org and received my own domain name: damilee.com
I would like to transfer everything from my current website to my new one.
Could you please provide me with the database and configuration folder?
Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No. The only export you can do on a WordPress.com blog is on the Tools page, to create an XML export file. Then on the dashboard of your new blog you go to the dashboard Tools page and click Import. That’s how you get your content from your WP.com blog to your WP.org blog.

I contacted Bluehost and they said that I should contact customer service at wordpress to receive the database and configuration folder because the Import Export option doesn’t work very well. However, I can’t find the email for technical support. Does anyone know what it is/where I can find it??

Yes. It’s support at wordpress dot com, but the current wait is in the number of weeks. They will tell you what I already told you: that the Export XML file is what you get. You cannot get it in the format you’re asking for.

Hi there,
It appears your export file is too large. This isn’t something we can assist you with entirely, since we do not have access to self-hosted sites, but these instructions may work for you.
Try exporting in two or three files by exporting a partial series of posts at a time.
It will look like this:
http://cl.ly/image/1E0n192E2j0aThen on your .org installation:
Go to Tools -> Import
Select the first file to upload and click “Upload file and import” — wait while this part processes
Assign posts to your username
Repeat steps above for the remaining post files, and the pages file if any. Then you’ll need to update the paths for the images so they point to your new site.
Install and activate the plugin “Search and Replace”
Go to Tools -> Search and Replace
Check the box for post content
Enter search and replace contentIf you’re still running into trouble, you might try posted on the WordPress.org forums for further assistance:
