Transfer WordPress.com contributors to self hosted w/Jetpack
-
Hello,
I just transfered my wordpress.com site to self hosted (jetpack is installed) and see my contributing editors on my end, but when they login to their wordpress.com accounts they only have access to the old officeninjastech.wordpress.com site NOT the new officeninjas.com self hosted site. From what I’ve read, this may be something that WordPress.com Happiness Engineers can help me fix. If not, is there anything I need to do on my end?
Thanks,
Edwin -
Since you’re now running a new self-hosted website, you’ll need to re-invite/re-add the users to your new site.

I don’t see an “Invite New” button like I did on my WordPress.com site. I thought that by using jetpack it would allow me to invite other WordPress.com users to be contributors on my self hosted site. Is there another plugin to allow for this? Or is this not allowed by WordPress.com?
Thanks

You can add contributors at ‘Users’ -> ‘Add New’ in your blog’s dashboard. The invite feature is currently only available on WordPress.com and not (yet) included in Jetpack.

That’s what I suspected. Hope jetpack gets the “Invite New” feature soon.
Thanks for all your help.
