Transfered Blog Now It is Unaccessible

    I created a blog <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt;. You can see my name under “Editor.” I purchased <milesfrommalibu.com>. Go Daddy suggested that I host my blog on their site and had me go through some “Hosting Connection” to use WP on GD. I did all of that. I was told to export my WP blog content and then upload it to GD so I could see the above blog as <milesfrommalibu.com>. That did not work. For some reason the theme never worked and on GD-WP admin the original free theme for <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt; isn’t listed.

    SO, it then went in to the original WP acct. <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt; and gave my blog to myself – to my GD-WP admin. Now I can see <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt; that user <milesfrommalibu> as a 2nd user on my GD-WP admin but there is now way for me to access <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt;. No way.

    The <milesfrommalibu.com> is up and as u can see for some reason when I uploaded the original content of <http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/&gt; there’s a different theme. I don’t care about that right now – I only want help w/getting into my beautiful blog. There is no way I can see to get into it once I gave it away to myself.

    Note that when I create the WP-GD admin through GD I created a new user name and PW, which is different than the original user name and PW from the original WP acct. The one I am posting from now.

    Any help will be useful!

    You need to review the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. http://milesfrommalibu.wordpress.com/ is WordPress.com.

    Anything on Godaddy is WordPress.org, and we can’t help with that. Themes at WordPress.com are not necessarily available to WordPress.org blogs.

    Your godaddy wordpress site and your site here are in absolutely, positively not connected. They are two islands on different planets in different universes.

    Your godaddy blog is totally stand alone.

    If you want a particular theme, you have to go out and find it (if, like raincoaster says, it exists for self-hosted installs). It may not in which case you have to find something else.

    Also, all support for the godaddy installation will have to come from http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . Things here work differently and we cannot help you with that self-hosted installation.
