  i switched my domain to a new registrar and now have no access to my site and im wondering how i can get access restored

  Hey @jasmineb37! Now that the domain is no longer registered or pointing to WordPress.com you’ll need to reach out to your new host for help gaining access to the site. Our WordPress.com team only has special access to sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
