  I have recently set up a domain name with IONOS, can I use it with a free WordPress site once its been registered for 60 days

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  If you wish to use a custom domain address with a site here at WordPress.com a paid plan will be required. You don’t need to wait 60 days though. You could connect your domain immediately to a site here.
