Transfering an expired domain

  My domain expired over 200 days ago. Is it still possible to transfer it to my own hosting?

  I tried following the support here [https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/], but the option ‘request transfer code’ is not available.

  Am I sh*t out of luck?

  You cannot transfer any domain that you no longer own so be clear on that. If the redemption period has passed and it is available for purchase then you can purchase it again and transfer it.
