  I need to get my Word server or IP Address to transfer my domain from Shopify to WordPress. I haven’t purchased a plan yet and don’t know where to start.

  In order to transfer your domain to WordPress.com and use the domain here, you do need to upgrade to a paid plan first. You can compare the different plan levels here:

  Our annual and two-year WordPress.com plans come with a free domain name credit for one year, which can be used to transfer your domain.

  Then, you can follow the steps here to move your domain over:
