Transfering domain name and hosting from Hostmonster to WordPress

  I currently own a domain name and have it hosted on hostmonster. My domain is up for renewal this month and I would like to move it over to WordPress and host my site on here as it is just a portfolio site and I don’t see a need to spend so much yearly on something I can host here. What is the easiest way to do that?

  Thanks for getting in touch. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
