Transfering Domain Problem

Hello, a little more than a year ago I bought a domain ‘thebluejeanhorseproject.com’ and it expired a few months. I am looking to transfer my domain to Google Domains, but it says that it’s locked and I must go to Wild West Domains to unlock it. to be clear, all I did was buy the domain on WordPress, I never ever heard of WWD before. When I go onto to WWD, it’s saying I don’t have an account. I tried calling their support, but I get put on hold and never talk to a real person. I checked them out on FB and a lot of people have posted to their wall saying similar things. Then, when I go back to WordPress and type in my domain name to see if it’s available, it says it’s taken and I can map it. I would map it, except I don’t want the same thing to happen with the WWD thing. Would someone please help? Thank you.

Hi @bluejeanhorse, WWD is a registrar but the domain was purchased through us. Unfortunately it looks like it expired some time ago, though, and was returned to the registrar. It’s currently in redemption (basically they charge a fee to get it back), then the registrar can decide whether they want to release the domain or try to sell it.
Given that, would you like us to go ahead and send an invoice for the registration fee plus the redemption fee?
