Transfering Followers to New Blog
-
Hey. I started a WordPress.com blog, Simple Times Food, but then transferred my blog content to another wordpress.com blog, Simply Beneficial Life. All my content and posts transferred but how can I transfer the people who were already following my first blog?
Thanks,
Rebecca -
Hi Rebecca,
Could I get the URLs of both of your sites? They will both start with “http://”
Thanks in advance!

Yes! https://simpletimesfood.wordpress.com and https://simplybeneficiallife.com.
I had followers on simpletimesfood but not on simplybeneficiallife.com
I’m new to this so thanks for your patience and help!

A couple of things:
Just as general practice, you probably don’t want to give out your simplybeneficiallife.com URL as starting with “https”, as you don’t have an SSL on your site quite yet. It will give your visitors an error page and you don’t want that! :)
Second, it looks like you haven’t yet installed and connected the Jetpack plugin for this site, which is required in order to transfer followers. Given that you have moved over to a self-hosted WordPress.org site, once you have installed the Jetpack plugin you’ll actually be able to move your followers yourself! We have a help article on how to do so right here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/
Let me know if you have any questions!
