Transfering from BH to WP

Hello, I am a bit confused here. I have a hosting plan through Blue Host and honestly I wish to not do business with them after my plan runs out. I do however want to still keep my page and domain. Do I need to trasfer everything from BH to wp once my plan runs out, or is my data already on wp? I do believe I have Jetpack as well. Also, if I want to take a haitus from blogging altogether and I don’t pay for hosting in that time, will my data be saved on wp? Hopefully these questions make a lick on sense, thank you!

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there!

Just to clarify things, there are three different versions of “WordPress” that you should be aware of:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org, the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

Based on the information you provided, your current site is hosted on Bluehost using the WordPress software. However, you do have the option to migrate your site here to WordPress.com. However, please note that there may be certain limitations on the features available unless you upgrade to one of our paid plans. To provide the best advice, could you please clarify your preferences for your site?

    1. Do you wish to keep your current domain? If you plan to take a break and resume blogging in the future, it’s recommended to retain your current domain.
    2. Would you like to keep your current theme?

Once we have this information, we will be able to provide appropriate guidance for migrating your site to WordPress.com.

Thank you, and I’m looking forward to hearing back from you! :)
