Transfering host and domain to WordPress_2017

    Hi,
    I am trying to help some whose existing domain and hosting is with Host Papa. Their domain name renewed about a month ago and their hosting contract comes up for renewal in a few weeks. Their website is a simple calling card so my thoughts is that a WordPress site will suit their needs.
    But I have since been told that Host Papa does not provide domain ‘mapping’. I wonder if there is a way of transferring the domain so that it keeps renewing via WordPress along with hosting.
    Open to suggestions as they would like to switch host.
